Levels are now spot on

After plenty of measuring and adding additives on a daily basis my levels are now within respectable levels. Magnesium 1380 Alkalinity 9.0 calcium 420 Just checked the levels a week after achieving these readings and levels remain stable. I will now continue this weekly check and add when necessary . Carrying out regular checks, i now add any additive that is required. this makes the overall running of the marine aquarium much easier, just top up any depleted chemicals. The overall appearance and well being of inhabitants appear much happier.

Fish Idea is up

It was about this time last year that the ground-breaking Coral idea free guide to corals was available. After a really long year of development and content production they are now very pleased to present you to the Fish idea free guide to reef fish. With over 500 species including many rare and unusual species, the digital file is just 15 Megabytes. Whereas the Coral idea guide originally only provided coral identification, the Fish idea guide includes Latin and common names, average maximum size in inches and centimeters as well as symbols to represent hardiness, food preference and fish coral and coral compatibility. There is a quick and intuitive English symbol legend in each fish chapter and they have also included a germantranslation of the symbol legend which was kindly provided to them by Rainer Schindwolf .

Magnesium update

It has been about a week since i last posted, so here's an update. I Have been adding magnesium to my aquarium and is now at 1170, i think in about another week it should be at about 1300, then i can work on raising the calcium level as it is very low at the moment at 310. As guided by fellow reefers on ultimate reef only one should be raised at a time in the order of magnesium, alkalinity , then calcium. I have a new addition this week also. I found a lovely matched pair of percula clowns and decided to exchange my lonely percula clown to this matched pair from a local fish shop.
